Kay Nny Got A New Domain

Yeah! I bought a new domain! Of course, it's sad that kaynny.com has been acquired by one of the photographer in New York but it's totally fine for me as apparently my name started to get FAMOUS!! Kay Nny's name has started to prove that it's own by a creative and artistic person. 

Back to the main topic. I have acquired a new domain which is http://www.kaynnyphotography.com. What makes me such an eager to get a domain is ... I think I better reserved a domain name which related to my passion before some other people took it as what has happened to the kaynny.com

As for the plan now, my website will go live in 3 weeks time and I seriously hope that I can share more about my photography passion to the people around me.

Good job and shoulder *pat* for myself as I have created a big first step of my passion in my history.

The present feeling

Kind of lazy to blog for last month. Comparing to the record of blogging over the past few month, last month was the worst! I had started my new job with the new responsibilities in the new working environment last month. Everything was so cool to me and I am like continuosly learning new stuff with lesser pressure compare with last time. Weird tho! Last time, I got to learn alot of things with pressure but now I get to learn alot of things as well but with lesser pressure which I can't explain "why?". I guess maybe the passion and fields of learning are different now :)

I started with the software development job now together with 7 people in my team working on the web development by using some high-end technologies. Get to know alot of stuff about DOJO, DWR and SPRING together with come others technology during the research period.

Those people that I am working closely with are cool and professional. Hopefully, I will get a chance to learn more from them and follow their success path.

Learning process...

Time passed really really fast and this is my 2nd week of working at Accenture. Even though, it's just a week but I felt that time really passed even faster than I ever imagined. I have a lot of opportunity to learn about new technologies and started to build on the skeleton the web development project. Eventhough, I have few sleepless night but I had an amazing feeling that always keep me fresh and awake. I believe that is what we called "The passion"?

Today, I've learnt about DOM, JavaScripts ando a little bit DWR. While doing a window shopping yesterday, I bought a book called "Practical JavaScripts, DOM, Scripting and AJAX Projects". I have been learning DOJO since last week and I have start building some skeleton of the web interface. During the web development, I was informed about the "Select All" checkbox function which is not workable in the dijit.layout.AccordionPane. As usual, I have include the javascript in the jsp file and the following is the first implement script which is not workable:

And the following is the checkbox input that trigger the checkAll function:

However, by implementing the above scripts will not work if those checkboxes are place inside the dijit.layout.AccordionPane

After looking into the DOM from w3schools, the following scripts is the workable scripts where it will check all the checkboxes in the dijit.layout.AccordionPane. Instead of implementing the checked(), I have changed to the click()

There are more to come. Even though I am not a geek but I hope i can share more on my knowledge along this learning journey.

New working environment

Hm! There is alot to blog about my new working environment. I started my job on the first of June and it was the same date when I started my previous job in 2 years back. Kind of excited about it and can't wait to move forward. The first 2 days was about understanding the company background and the administrative procedure. They are all covered in the Orientation day.

Yesterday I was assigned to a new project and I am really really excited about it. I am pretty much clear about my career path and direction compare with last time and I really have a plenty of plans in my mind now. Today is pretty much about requirement study, knowing people surrounding me and kick off my ass to learn! More to learn tho~ will blog about about it after today.

Found my passion~

I finally found one of my passion which is taking photographs. I like to carry my camera around wherever I travel. By the way, I am using a prosumer camera with the model of Canon Powershot S1. It's almost 2 years old now. I believe that I am a good maintainer as I have been taking good care of it. :)

I realize that I won't get bored or tired when learning the features of my camera as well as the photography's tactics that I found in the third party websites. Hm....interesting...does this called passion? Recently, one of my fiend has decided get a new camera with the latest model of Canon EOS 450D... it's a cool camera thou...I wish I can have one too :)

Today I have browse multiple blogs and website about photography and I do learn alot of the angle of photos that they have taken. Really a great work!I hope I can be like them one day...and I am working hard on it. I know that I can't take good photos now but I am sure will be good in the near future :)

I have been introduce a graphic editor software from a colleague of mine who are a great designer in our company. I am downloading the trial version and plan to work it out on this weekend.

"Patience"

This few days was kind of quiet. I usually don't blog much about work but more about feelings and thoughts. I have plotted few sets of my information to few places and hopefully will get to hear from them soon. I used to have full passion and energy to meet up people that I see every day. I used to have full energy to be a participant. But now, no more which I don't know why. I guess, I fell down too many times and no longer want to stand up again. I guess my heart has tore off into pieces and not able to heal in the short period of time. Right now, the only thing that I can do is to be "Patience"

Anyhow, life still goes on and I know time will comes....

Improving my skills...

I have been reluctant to master my JAVA skills ever since I started to have the phobia of debugging code, spending long working hours and being a fire fighter. I think I am wrong with those moves that I have taken.

Now, I clearly understand and define that thing that been dragging me all this while is I didn't take my time to master my JAVA skills which is one of the major weapon that I should keep and sharpen for my battle. That's why I have so many dramas for myself.

It is just like last time as have been very reluctant to deal with foreigners because I have a very bad English. So most of the time I will just kept quiet and let others to do the conversation. I can speak but not to certain people who can speaks with a very fluent English.

But now, I can't say that I can speak very well and fluent but at least I managed to convey my message over with confident. One of the way that I used to learnt my English is when my colleagues who are graduates from Australia speaks or ask questions, I will follow it in my heart. So, when I started to ask questions, my brain will start working with my heart to construct a proper question. One funny thing is about our language accent. Last time, my English used to be sounds flat. (Just like how we speak Malay). But now, I realize that I have change the tone or accent when speaking English. When my CEO was here, I used to follow the way she speaks. Sounds weird but effective.

Last week, I have a very long chat with boss. Along that conversation, I really learnt lot from him especially on how to find the passion of doing something. To learn one things is really about passion and determination. I admit that I do not have passion in JAVA. But I have passion to teach and learn. Now, it's the determination that I need. I believe determination will leads actions. Now, my mission is to be certified as a JAVA Programmer and I believe I can as I have started with my action. This is not for anyone but for myself. :)
