So fucking shitty

I am so fucking shitting these few days with the mixed feeling that I had. Aimless, restless and had a sleepless night. Looking @ people around me, I have the sense of "unknown" feeling especially when joining the crowd. Why am i having such a problem and where and what is the problem?

First blog of year 2009

Happy New Year! Yesterday, while I was driving back home + listening to a radio DJ was talking about clearing the annual leaves for CNY, she reminded me of the last year CNY when working with my ex-company. Honestly speaking, this year I got the longest CNY leaves ever without pressure comparing last year. So, I called Mei and talk about it and she had even a longer leaves than mine. From the first of CNY till the end of CNY.

I wasn't hear alot from Yuen Chi and I guess he must be really really busy with his product lauching event. Anyway, just wanna wish him "Happy New Year". And time really moves furiesly, I just hope that this year will be better and everything goes fine according to the plan.

Good news of the day

At last, my best friend got one of her wish list come true. She is pregnant and I have just upgraded to be the baby's foster mum. I don't know why I have an eager of wanting a child of my own. Seeing some of my friends who has being a mum and dad makes me feel that it's time to settle down. However, seeing the current condition of mine, it's not the time yet!

I believe the time will comes......

Appreciation moment

Date: 30 October 2008
Time: From 6.30PM-1.00AM
I had an italian dinner with my 2 beloved ex-colleague yesterday. The dinner was suppose to mean for the Maven talk but ended up Fennie and Yuen Chi has treated me an expensive and nice italian dinner for my birthday and of course we do talk about Maven too :) I have so called showed off my new Canon 450D SLR to yc yesterday and taken few shots around the restaurant during the dinner. Talking about Maven, now i learnt about "Cargo". Of course this "Cargo" is not about the "Airport Cargo". This is about the Maven Cargo. Right! I am not suppose to blog about technical in this blog. I suppose to blog about my feeling towards these 2 dinner. Let me go one by one. Before we ordered any of our main course, the waiter brought us a plate of "high class bread" and pour us some "olive oil + wine" (if i am not mistake) on a plate. The way of eating it is by taking the bread and dip into the combination of olive oil and red-wine then "EAT"!! Ma ma mia! It's soooooooo delicious! The taste was a little bit sour,bready taste and of course olive oil! Say till the end, cakap sampai habis, kong tou sai... ICHIBAN-NEH!

The we ordered a spagethi (not sure what it called) and a Chicken PARMIGIANA( i think should spell like this-not sure)... and that's the portion for 3 persons.Oh yeah, not to forget, we ordered a Pizza too and it's a beef pizza. I actually don't take beef and yesterday it's the first time ever i are b eef with intention.Sh....don't tell my mum about it. Else I bet she will nag me from morning till night! We finished that dinner around 9PM.

The next round was at 10.30pm which was organize by Christine. OK,let me roughly describe "Who is Christine". She is the first person that I knew and who sat next to me when the first time i entered my first year of my PRIMARY SCHOOL! Let me do a little of promotion about her.... she is a nice girl, a vegetarian, and now she is a teacher,a person who like to do charity. Again,say till the end, cakap sampai habis, kong tou sai...a first class "Girlfriend" for her future boyfriend or husband.

Talking back about the dinner. Actually not dinner, it should be a supper. Su, Pauline and Christine had bought a cake for me yesterday. OMG! They sang the "Birthday Song" at the mamak. So happy! We talked about Pauline's passport story and also some jokes. Ha..ha..I don't know why I was so bloody damn happy yesterday. Maybe because of the "Thick Chocolate Cake" and also
bottle of Heineken.

For here, the most important person that I would like to thank is my mum and dad for bringing me to this world and knowing a bunch of wonderful people. My birthday is a shared birthday of my mum and dad. This morning, I got a wish from my DAD and he gaves me a big big hug! OMG! My dad never hug me this tight before! Each time when I write about them, I can feel my tear is dropping and emo! *Sob**Sob*

Secondly, the person that I would like to thank is my boyfriend who really really being so supportive. He knew that I wanted to venture into the photography world, so he bought me a new CANON 450D SLR. Each time when I am into a difficulty, he is the first person who stand on the line with me and I am glad that I have him in my world. However, one thing that I missed was his birthday wishes. I believe a wish is more important than a material. *Sob**Sob* But nevermind...

Thirdly, thanks to Fennie, Yc, Christine, Su and Pauline for giving this wonderful memory and moment. As I said earlier, my principle is simple- It is not about what will happen, it's all about now and this moment!
You guys had make the different!
Lastly, thanks for all who wishes me via the SMS.

I love you guys!

With full of emotions,

Another year is coming.......

Recently, I have created some objectives (in another word of KPI)for the next performance review. One of the objective is to blog about the technology that I have learn along the project that I have done in the past 3 months.

Well, I am doubt duh. I do learn a lot of things about DOJO, DWR and spring but I found out that I have the difficulty to write about what I have learn. Y

Yesterday, someone was asking me what am I doing in my currently company? So, I told him that I am working on the web development using AJAX and Web2.0 Technologies. And he asked me what do you used to develop? Then I told him that I am using DOJO, DWR and spring framework. Before I finished my words, eventually, "Someone" immediately interrupt the conversation, answer and explain all those questions on my behalf. Is it because the way that I answer is wrong or I do not know what actually I am doing? Why do I need someone to answer on my behalf?!

I am still wondering if I am OK to stay in the IT World or should I do something else? Do I have the talent to write down things that I have learn if I am asked to write a technical blog or no? I believe I am still searching for the right answer for that and it would be a main challenge for me.

Along the journey while driving back home, I have a lot of thoughts of "What have I done so far in the year of 2008? As everyone know that the year of 2008 will be ended soon and it's only 2 months left! I remember last year, I have written a blog on my birthday and the blog was also about the same as this year and each year, I keep on asking myself the same question which is "WHAT HAVE I ACHIEVED THIS YEAR?" and "WHAT HAVE I CONTRIBUTED?"

I am still searching..........

First blog on October

I havent been blogging after the company Bum Event. Fast moving to the supporting role again after the project completing next week. For the past few months after the 1st June 2008, I was very busy about the given assignment. I do learnt alot from the my team member especially my team member (Jas). From what I experience from her is she is a very humble,helpful and patient person. Each time when I write a new blog, I realized that things that I write here will never get out of my "ex-company" experience and thought which I don't know why.

Recently, I have been given an opportunity to be one of the committee member to organize a project dinner event and I am glad that I have been chosen. Although no expectation yet at this moment and I believe I will do it great! Same word, just follow the "FLOW"!

Right now what I am experiencing is
"Free", feel being appreciate and happy to get involved in anything.

The present feeling

Kind of lazy to blog for last month. Comparing to the record of blogging over the past few month, last month was the worst! I had started my new job with the new responsibilities in the new working environment last month. Everything was so cool to me and I am like continuosly learning new stuff with lesser pressure compare with last time. Weird tho! Last time, I got to learn alot of things with pressure but now I get to learn alot of things as well but with lesser pressure which I can't explain "why?". I guess maybe the passion and fields of learning are different now :)
I started with the software development job now together with 7 people in my team working on the web development by using some high-end technologies. Get to know alot of stuff about DOJO, DWR and SPRING together with come others technology during the research period.
Those people that I am working closely with are cool and professional. Hopefully, I will get a chance to learn more from them and follow their success path.
Passion and happy on my work!

Check All Checkbox with DOJO Checkbox

I found a function which able to check all checkbox with DOJO Checkbox. Here is the following:

function checkAll(a,b){
var bChecked = false;
eval("dml = document.frTAMain");
var len = dml.elements.length;
for(var i=0 ; i<;i++){
if (dml.elements[i].type == "checkbox") {

for ( m=0; m <a.length;m++){
var id = (m+1);
if ((dml.elements[i].name == "selectAll") && (dml.elements[i].checked==true)) {
dijit.byId("comp"+id).setValue(true);
bChecked.setValue = true;
}

if ((dml.elements[i].name == "selectAll") && (dml.elements[i].checked==false)) {
dijit.byId("comp"+id).setValue(false);
bChecked.setValue = false;
}
}
}
}
}

At first I thought of putting in the function of click() which is the DOM function, however after the further studies on DOJO, dijit has their own method to check all which is dijit.byId().setValue (true/false).

Last weekend, I finally being able to pass value to DWR and DWR to Spring to the database and passing back to DWR to the javascripts. And now, it's time to learn how to display the value in the dijit.form.FilteringSelect with dwr values.

Wish me luck!

Learning process...

Time passed really really fast and this is my 2nd week of working at Accenture. Even though, it's just a week but I felt that time really passed even faster than I ever imagined. I have a lot of opportunity to learn about new technologies and started to build on the skeleton the web development project. Eventhough, I have few sleepless night but I had an amazing feeling that always keep me fresh and awake. I believe that is what we called "The passion"?

Today, I've learnt about DOM, JavaScripts ando a little bit DWR. While doing a window shopping yesterday, I bought a book called "Practical JavaScripts, DOM, Scripting and AJAX Projects". I have been learning DOJO since last week and I have start building some skeleton of the web interface. During the web development, I was informed about the "Select All" checkbox function which is not workable in the dijit.layout.AccordionPane. As usual, I have include the javascript in the jsp file and the following is the first implement script which is not workable:

function checkAll (a, b){
alert("I am here");
for (i = 0; i < checked =" b.checked?">

And the following is the checkbox input that trigger the checkAll function:

<input id="selectAll" dojotype="dijit.form.CheckBox" name="selectAll" value="selectAll" onclick="checkAll(document.form1.checkbox,this)" type="checkbox">

However, by implementing the above scripts will not work if those checkboxes are place inside the
dijit.layout.AccordionPane

After looking into the DOM from w3schools, the following scripts is the workable scripts where it will check all the checkboxes in the
dijit.layout.AccordionPane. Instead of implementing the checked(), I have changed to the click()

function checkAll(a, b){
var x=document.getElementsByName("selectAll");
for (i = 0; i
< a.length; i++) a[i].click()
}

There are more to come. Even though I am not a geek but I hope i can share more on my knowledge along this learning journey.

Adios ~ Kay Nny

Delete shared map drive user

I learnt a new windows command where it can delete the initial map drive login users from the windows. The command goes like this:

C:/> net use
Status Local Remote Network
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK Z: \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\Share_Folders Microsoft Windows Network

The command completed successfully.

Enter the following command for the syntax help:

C:/> net use /?

The syntax of this command is:

NET USE
[devicename | *] [\\computername\sharename[\volume] [password | *]]

[/USER:[domainname\]username]
[/USER:[dotted domain name\]username]
[/USER:[username@dotted domain name]
[/SMARTCARD]
[/SAVECRED]
[[/DELETE] | [/PERSISTENT:{YES | NO}]]

NET USE {devicename | *} [password | *] /HOME
NET USE [/PERSISTENT:{YES | NO}]

In order to delete the shared map drive user, follow the following command:

C:/>
net use /delete \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\Shared_folder
\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\Shared_folder was deleted successfully.

So here is a little bit of tips to remove the mapping.

Cheers,

New working environment

Hm! There is alot to blog about my new working environment. I started my job on the first of June and it was the same date when I started my previous job in 2 years back. Kind of excited about it and can't wait to move forward. The first 2 days was about understanding the company background and the administrative procedure. They are all covered in the Orientation day.

Yesterday I was assigned to a new project and I am really really excited about it. I am pretty much clear about my career path and direction compare with last time and I really have a plenty of plans in my mind now. Today is pretty much about requirement study, knowing people surrounding me and kick off my ass to learn! More to learn tho~ will blog about about it after today.

New friend from Estonia

I met a new friend who came here to have the 2 days WebMethod 7 training to some of my integration Colleagues. His name is Louis Zezeran from Estonia. The way I describe him is a funny and an energetic guy. Last Friday, I brought him to the movie. Our plan was like this:
  • After work straight to the movie and we watched the "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" at the Berjaya Time Square
  • After the movie around 9.45pm, we brought him to the dinner at KTC Low yat which is one of the famous restaurant that we used to bring out foreign friends for dinner. Wei Khai and I had ordered some of the Chinese food for him and he seems enjoyed it so much.
  • And then around 10.30pm, Yuen Chi, Wei Khai and I brought him to a the Passion after the dinner session and we had heaps of fun. We were chit chatting about our family background and get to know each other at the first session. Then, Wei Khai had ordered a half dozen of beer during the chatting session. We don't really mingled around the club where by we just sitting at the corner which is just infront of the pathway to the toilet. :P After we had bottoms up the beers, we went to the dance floor and DANCEEEE!!! We don't really get drunk but the feel is just niceeee. We spent our time there till around 1.45am and we left since Wei Khai wasn't comfortable with the environment :)

Happy after all

Saturday in the next morning was quite hectic but I had heaps of fun hanging out with Yuen Chi and Louis. I went to the Java User Group with Yuen Chi at the Monash University Sunway. We were there around 11- 12.45pm and quite a number of people turns up. There is a speaker who used to work with "Google" has talked about " How to change the world with Web 2.0". The talk wasn't too technical but it's more high level towards the business world. The session was ended at 12.45pm.

After the Java User group session, Yuen Chi and Me was directly drive to Louis hostel and we brought him to "Yong Tau Foo" in Ampang. Initially, we planned to bring him to the Batu Caves after the lunch but unfortunately it was heavy rain. Hence, we went to KLCC straight after the lunch :) We spent about 2 hours in KLCC. Louis managed to get himself a nice, branded belt with a reasonable price as KLCC is having a sales right now.

Around 4.30pm and when the rain stopped, we went to Batu Caves where we had planned it earlier. Along the journey to the Batu Caves, Yuen Chi and Louis was talking about the Integration and Business Stuff while I am driving without knowing what they are talking about. Oh come on! Give me a break! The following are the photos that we took at Batu Caves and we were there about an hour. Lastly after the Batu Caves, I brought Louis to a nice dinner with my family and night KL view @ Gas Online in Langat. He really enjoyed alot with the local food that we ordered. Glad that he enjoyed himself during the weekend.

Unknown when I am unknown

After some trainings, I started to describe "I" instead of "we" at most of the time when some wording suppose to be "We" and I would rather use it as "I" as "I" is referring to "I" instead of "We" as some might not apply to the same condition as I do.

I started to realized that "I" suddenly become "unknown" in the crowd that I used to be particular about it of being "unknown". However, I am "unknown" as who I am. When I am "unknown", something flash into my mind that "I am who I am" and immediately, I ignore how I felt when I know that I became "unknown". Is this called "I am experiencing the experience" and directly become "I am who I am"?

Listening back to my conversation. What does "Unknown" mean to me? Is it the concept that I've built or the fact that doesn't fit to what I know?

Blood donation@Brickfield

A friend of mine (Christine) was invited me to the Brickfield temple this morning and we planned to go to the temple in the afternoon. So we were there around 2pm. The first thing that come into my mind is "Blood Donation". I remember the first time when I do blood donation was about 8 Years back during my college time and the first time I did blood donation was with a very special person who are staying in Melbourne now. What a memorable memories!

Crowd along the temple

Crowd along the temple

Crowd along the temple

Temple choir

Christine doing donation

Talking back about the blood donation campaign, I remembered I was rejected few things when I was willingly offered my blood to the bank blood. The reasons are very simple:
* Underage
* Blood not enough of IRON
* Low blood pressure

Hence, that shows I am a person who have difficulty to donate blood. Till this morning, I do not have any intention of donating blood until a friend of my message me to go to the Temple. First thing that came into my mind was "How many hours did I slept yesterday?"... hmmm... good question huh? I slept @ 12.30am and woke up @8am. Based on the calculation, I just passed the first important requirement which is above the requirement 7.30 hours. Hoho!!

When I was in the queue of donating blood, I was asked to filled up some questionnaires about my health condition and I found that I AM HEALTHY and NORMAL! Hurray! Once I had finished the questionnaires, I was asked to go to another queue to test out my blood type. A man who are not a doctor started used a small device and punch on my finger. Ouch! It was really pain but not that pain and my blood start pinching out from my finger. He then used a small sucker to sucked up the blood from my finger and placed it on a board that mixed with sort of a chemical to see which blood group I am belonging to. But I am not gonna announce it here tho :P

After a while, he started to take another sucker to sucked up my blood in the second round. Then he put a drop of my blood into a glass of a blue chemical to see whether my blood will sink or float. This is identify whether my blood contains sufficient IRON or not. However, my blood was floated on the surface but it slowly sinked to the bottom which indicates that it's hard to identify the level of IRON that contained in my blood. Hence, he started to used a machine to test on my blood. Based on his statement, the IRON level must at least reach 12.50 in order to be on eligible blood donator. Phew! I got 12.70 which is just nice to be eligible. Thanks god of no rejection this time!

Ok, once I have passed the first level, I was again asked to seek for the duty doctor for another questionnaires session. The doctor that I met is quite "fierce" and "strict". The reason of seeing this doctor is to identify the amount of blood that I can donate. After the questionnaire session, the amount of blood that I can donate is 450 CC. Good enough! Or else I will fainted down if I am ask to give more!

Here is the picture that Christine taken during the blood donation:

The Mastery Training experience

I started the mastery journey on May 15, 2008 @ 7pm. Before I walked in to the training room, I was always wondering and asked myself what is this Mastery about? Heh, funny ya? Paid thousand plus Ringgit and do not what's course about. I remembered, on the training day itself, I was excited about it and counting time to go after the office hour... OMG, the first day was bloody rush as I was attending a technical training which provided by my Boss. I was counting the time and setting up my alarm to go before the technical training was about to finished. Once it has finished, I immediately rush out from the room and grapped my bag then leave the office in RUSH! Phew, luckily I managed to make it and no regret of being rush as I wasn't the only one who were late. When I reached the training center, I was informed to filled up the Health Questionnaire before having my name tag (which I am going to show later) from the other counter. My mind wasn't calm and I missed out quite alot of people that I knew and forget to give them a HUG!! Forgive me for those who I missed out!

Because of the prayer session, our training had postponed to 7.50pm (if I am not mistaken). The door was open 5 minutes before the training started... so I reached there at 6.50pm and waited till 7.50pm. Hence, that proved me that I wasn't late on the first day! Woohoo!! How proud!

Let's start a little bit of my story here. My trainer is called Jim with his name called Jim Cook. Yeah, I never met him before until this training. When I walked in the room and people were looking for their sits before the training started. Ok before that, I met back my our Leadership Program members and it's really nice to see one of my friend who work and stay in Brisbane in the this training. His name is Micheal and I am glad to have him to walk through together in this mastery journey. Welcome back Micheal!

The training started with a song called "It's In Every One Of Us". At first I feel nothing about this song until they played it again and again and again and again. Oh gosh! I started to felt that this is really a long song that I ever listen and they played this song for 4 days. My Pig start telling me that "This song sucks!!". But after they played it over and over again, I realize that the song is actually represent us. Yeah , everyone of us!

However, during the mastery journey , the first few days was kind of bored and confusing as I get to know most of the description, definition and meaning of "Nothing". Yes, I need to understand the meaning of "Nothing". Surprise me, it's Nothing. Is this course about "Nothing"? Don't ask me! Experience yourself then you will know what is the meaning of "Nothing". I learnt about "Experience", I learnt about the truth meaning of "Feeling" and "Responsibility" and I learnt about "I don't know" and "I don't know". I know that this might sounds very weird and "jargon" to some of my blog reader but yeah, there are simple word with special definition in life.

Till the third day of the training, I was asked " Who am I".. Gosh, this is the best questions that most of the people do not ask themselves. I have been drilling myself to answer this question till I wanted to vomit during the process of answering this question. The best experience that I ever had. I also learnt about elements of some other stuff during the Mastery course and those are really some powerful stuff that can apply to my life. No regret of knowing those!

During this Journey, I experienced sort of the "Self Realization" in the sense that I know why I am what I am right now and I experience why I am what I am. Hard ya? Hm...that's mastery.
Slowly to the third day of the mastery, I was introduced something called "Pig" which something that I always have them without any realization. It's PIG!!!! Damn it! It looks cute but dangerous! I would rather ride them than they ride on me! Fuck off PIG! But I have 2 now with me which given by 2 of my beloved friends. No worry, I will show them to your guys later on :) Stay tuned!

One of the exercise was a breakthrough for me and after third night, I had a very calm and peaceful sleep. I had a very nice dream and I just don't know how to tell you the feeling of letting go all the stones behind. I started to let go those grungies that I had on my relationships and career. I smiled when during my dream. When I wake up, I had an experience which is out of my expectation. For those who heard my sharing during the training should know what I am talking about here.....

I know that we don't feed people except feeding ourself most of the time but this mastery is kind of weird where I got a chance to allow people to feed me. And then I got the chance to feed people. At that moment, I felt that I am the fullest person in the world. The full isn't the meaning of eating full but full of loves and cares around me and I am fulfilling! Oh my god! I seriously love you guys!

Talking about this journey, there are some people who I will always remember them in my heart. They are "Micheal, Marcus, Keng Yee, Stephenie from Holland, Sin Hwi,Chris, Aduq, EK, Kanishka from India, Rany from Indonesia, Ching Sia, Doreen, Cynthia, Kay, Kathy, Kayla and some others in MM26." Ok guys, I don't care enough to remember your name, so forgive me ya~ They are really great and it's my pleasure to meet this people and I love them. You guys will be always in my heart! Some of them have a big PIG and some of them have small! So guys, throw it away!

What I have learnt from this course is to let go everything which is unnecessary so that I can take a stand to fill up more others to have more stuff that I wish to have! Appreciate,accept and have what I have with no regrets and blame. Work according to the flow is the biggest challenge for me right now!

Specially, I would like to thanks to EK, Stephanie, Micheal and Marcus for giving a stand to be with me during this journey and Jim the coach, Matt Voo the co-ordinator of the training, Melissa, Timmy and Olivia for giving a stand to support each of the single trainee during the Mastery course. You guys are rock and I will always remember!

OK, after all my story and experience now it is the time to show the photos:

PIGs that I had with my Mastery Cert

PIGs that I had with my Mastery Cert and name tag

PIGs that I had with my Mastery Cert

The journey of the learning curve

While preparing for my new challenge, I started to pick up some technical knowledge from some really technical people. Surprisingly, I never complaints on things that I am learning now comparing with stuff that been asked to learnt last time. I believe it's something which is much more technical and complicated but I enjoyed it. Funny, if I would have learnt all those, I believe I will enjoy what I am doing now. Again, it's about opportunity!

I know that I am not a person who are very technical and I can see that there are alot of people has different perceptions towards me (skills) somehow I learnt from there as those perceptions are the feedbacks that been given in another way which I should consider about.

This few weeks, I learnt about the SPRING Framework. Thanks to Master Qi for explaining the basic concept of SPRING Framework to me the other day. Even though, it was a very BASIC explanation but it's really helpful and ease me to pick up Spring from the ground. One of the best website to start on SPRING is "A Spring Jump Start by Craig Walls and Ryan Breidenbach and a sample of the basic SPRING APPLICATION that shared by Master Chui.

My SCJP goal is still persists. I do consult from a friend of mine who are expert in JAVA and the progression is much more faster than I expected. This incoming Thursday till Sunday, I will be attending another personal development growth. I really hope that this course can bring me to another level of growth comparing where I am now. Again, what is Mastery about????? I think I can only answer this questions after this 5 days course.

Overall, I am glad that I have these people around me who helps me alot when I need them. I always believe in Karma and I believe I will somehow repay in some other way on what I have earned from them in the near future.
